About the artist

Mars Morgan is a Connecticut born and raised multidisciplinary artist currently focusing on oil mediums. She holds a degree in Textile Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology, where her love of botanical painting bloomed. Her works explore girlhood, grief, and the line between adorable and unnerving. She uses soft edges and eye catching pastels to elicit the feeling of a melatonin dream you can’t quite recall. Her background in textiles gives each piece an illustrative quality that turns realism surreal. Everyday objects become stand ins for the self, carrying the quiet unease of emotions left unexplored. Pink is the common thread throughout collections, and also the artists favorite color.
